Welcome to a new Rotary membership year and to July, fellow Rotarians!

As we embark on this exciting journey, I'm honored to serve as your new president and look forward to a year of impactful service and fellowship. July brings with it Rotary's theme of Maternal and Child Health, a crucial focus as we consider the well-being of mothers and children in our community and worldwide. Rotary International prioritizes this area by supporting projects that expand access to quality healthcare, provide immunizations and essential medical services, and empower local health professionals. Millions of children under five die each year from preventable causes like malnutrition and inadequate healthcare, and Rotary strives to reduce these numbers through education, birth kits, and mobile health clinics.

A simple yet powerful way each of us can contribute to this vital cause is by donating blood or encouraging others to do so, or by supporting local food banks that provide nutritious food to families in need. These actions directly impact the health and well-being of mothers and children, laying the foundation for a healthier future. Let's make this a year of growth, connection, and continued dedication to Service Above Self!

How Will We "Unite for Good" in 2025-2026

As we embark on the 2025–2026 Rotary year, I am filled with anticipation and pride to serve as your District Governor. This year, we embrace the powerful message from Rotary International Unite for Good – Growing Stronger, Leading Together.

This theme calls upon us to come together in service, collaboration, and impact, reinforcing our shared mission of making the world a better place. It emphasizes the strength of our collective efforts and the profound difference we can make when we unite with purpose.
In our district, we will focus on three essential pillars:
Innovation: Embracing new ideas and approaches to meet the evolving needs of our communities.
Continuity: Building upon the successes of the past to ensure sustained impact.
Partnership: Strengthening collaborations to amplify our service and reach.

Together, we will embody the "Unite for Good" spirit, fostering unity and inclusivity in all our endeavors. Let us work hand in hand to create lasting change and inspire others to join us in our mission.

Francesco Arezzo, RI President 2025-26

Francesco Arezzo is an orthodontist in private practice and owns an agricultural enterprise that produces extra virgin olive oil in Sicily.

Arezzo is a graduate of the University of Padua and a member of the Italian, European, and American orthodontics associations, as well as the Italian and European lingual orthodontics associations. He is a dentistry graduate of the University of Cagliari, where he also received a master’s in lingual orthodontics.

He has served as vice president of the National Association of Italian Dentists for the province of Ragusa and was the founder and head for seven years of the Ragusa delegation to the National Trust for Italy.
