Grande Prairie Rotary Club Bus To Mazatlan – 2012

Dear Fellow Rotarians:
          On  behalf of Doug Sloan and Mike Frey (last years Mazatlan drivers), we would like to extend an invitation for drivers for the next trip to Mazatlan.   Tentative Departure date March 9, 2012 for 2 weeks.   Please see the requirements and responsibilities below. Submit your name ASAP to Doug or Mike. Preference will be given to those Rotarians that have not participated in this project in a previous year. Please ensure that you can go on this project as it will involve a lot of work and time to change everything if you back out. If you have any questions, please contact Doug Sloan, Mike Frey, Rod Dunbar or Gary Hessler.     
 
 

Responsibilities:


      The vehicle this year is a fire truck.

      Decals to be placed on the fire truck before cold weather season.

      Clean up unit and make sure it is in good mechanical condition including the fire apparatus

      Drive in any promos that may be arranged

      Team Player…. Will be travelling via caravan with other Club members

      Arrange for insurance coverage for 7,8 days while in Mexico (internet application)

      Donate fire truck in Mazatlan and take part in other presentations

      Attend functions arranged by Mazatlan and area clubs

      Have a valid passport and driver’s license

      Ability to pay for fuel and travel costs up front

      Submit expense claim for air fare, fuel , meals and hotels on your return (personal expenses/liquor and gifts are at your expense)

      Provide travel updates on club runner while going to Mazatlan and do a presentation on the trip to the club after your return home

      Mechanical aptitude would be beneficial……The fire truck comes with an automatic transmission
