ImageJustin Wilfon joined The Now KC in September of 2014 as Anchor of The Now KC.  Justin Wilfon's journey to The Now KC started way back in the third grade. That's when a weatherman from a local TV station visited his school. After he talked about the excitement of television news, Justin was immediately hooked. Justin started doing fake "newscasts" for his parents in the basement of their house! While he didn't think any of those newscasts would win an Emmy, his parents were nice enough to put up with the nightly ritual.

Eight years later, at the age of 16, Justin started working in radio at a small station in Illinois. He answered phone calls for the station's talk shows and ran the board, or whatever else managers needed him to do. A short time later, he started working for a larger radio station in St. Louis, KTRS, where he wrote news and sports for the weekend newscasts.

During his college years at Southern Illinois University he reported and anchored for the school's nightly newscast on the local PBS station.

Then, he started TV career on the west coast, where he anchored in Washington State , Louisville, Kentucky, and Tulsa, Oklahoma before heading to Kansas City.   His career highlights  include coverage of the Oklahoma grass fires in the winter of 2006, a trip to Hollywood to cover American Idol, and a one-on-one interview with rock star and activist, Bono -- an experience he will certainly never forget.

In his spare time, he loves to work out and play golf.
