The Rotary Club is pleased to announce that they have partnered with the Rotary Club of Santa Rosa Philippines. The sisterhood agreement aims for both clubs to endeavor to promote and develop mutual understanding, friendship and goodwill; and, undertake joint projects on the different avenues of service of ROTARY on a club-level basis.

“Rotary is about doing things locally and globally. Our club did two projects with Santa Rosa during covid and we have just launched our third” stated Terry Stacey Club President. “With our President-elect Michael Gabriel having been in the Santa Rosa Club before he came to Canada, we have developed a club to club relationship much different than just sending funds.”

The sisterhood agreement was signed at a joint online meeting where members of both clubs got to meet each other. At that time pictures were shared of the newest project that the two clubs partnered on – Rotary on Wheels. The Fort Club sent funds to build five (5) bicycle carts so residents of Santa Rosa can become entrepreneurs. The Santa Rosa Club build the carts, had signage and t-shirts made to identify that this is a joint project between the two Rotary Clubs. Each vendor is vetted and has to sign an agreement that if they no longer want the cart it returns to the Santa Rosa Club and they will find a new vendor.
