With the Rotary Club of San Salvador we are engaging in the Project WASH in schools, which “integrates water supply, sanitation, hygiene and education using the knowledge and resources associated with two of Rotary’s areas of interest: Basic education and literacy: by giving certified trainings about water, sanitation, hygiene and menstrual hygiene to teachers from the community and improving basic education about these subjects. Water and sanitation: by upgrading schools sanitation facilities in order for children to have access to a potable water supply, toilets, and sinks equipped with adequate hygiene supplies.” Tnis is in the Municipality of Chiltiupán , near La Liberdad. The grant application has been filed, pending approval. It should be noted hat this is the first Global Grant that PAUR has been the lead international club. Special thanks goes to Alan Bennett for working on the grant.
