Community Service
The Community Service Committee works with the Social Committee and Youth Service Committee to offer PAUR members the opportunity to put into action the Rotary motto “service above self.” The committee gathers ideas from Club members and schedules service events. These events give members the opportunity to provide service to the community in a variety of rewarding ways.
Annually, we host an Oktoberfest celebration at the local affordable senior living complex Stevenson House. We prepare and serve food to over 100 senior residents and their guests.
We are also working with local non-profit Farming Hope to plant fruit trees which can be used as a source of food for our local homeless. Farming Hope also employs homeless to take care of the trees, harvest the fruit and prepare the harvested food as part of pop-up restaurants. Farming Hope helps transition people out of homelessness.
