Again this year, Redding East Rotary Club members and their families and friends are invited to be part of the Rodeo Volunteer Program, which means helping at the Redding Rodeo that starts on Wednesday, May 16th through Saturday, May 19th. The Volunteers fill 4 critical positions at the Rodeo:
(1) Greeters at the front ticket area
(2) Ticket takers at the Main Gate
(3) Usher-Guides in the grandstands
(4) Ushers at Rodeo Flats
This year we will have three 2 hour shifts so more can participate...each night at 5 PM, 7 PM, and then on Friday and Saturday nights another shift at 8 PM. The Rodeo ends at 10 PM each night.
In return for your volunteering, each volunteer will receive 2 free tickets to either Wednesday or Thursday night rodeos, BBQ dinner and drinks on the day they volunteer, a parking pass for the area immediately adjacent to the arena, and a great deal of appreciation from the Rodeo Association.
This traditional highlight of the year for Redding is expecting more than 25,000 visitors this year, and the community volunteers make it all happen very smoothly.
