The purpose of this correspondence is to invite you to participate in an opportunity for an extraordinary Rotary experience.  This is a great opportunity to see a beautiful and diverse country while also having entry to the wonderful work being done by Rotarians far from your home.

In May 2011, The Rotary Club of Palo Alto will be traveling to Brazil to work with the Rotarians to provide service in some of the more needy communities .  In addition to service opportunity, we will spend time creating life time friendships with the Brazilian Rotarians by going to off-the-beaten track.   This program will include:

·   Visits with the Rotarians in Sao Paulo to see their projects;

·   Have an opportunity to see the Falls of Iguacu and the great wilderness of the Pantanal;

To be clear, this e-mail is not asking for funding .   We are simply inviting you, and your club members, to join us in this experience to see Rotary in action.  We ask you to announce this program in your club, and encourage two or three of your members to take a trip of a lifetime, and represent your club.  Ideally, you should make the trip and ask some of your members to join you!

The program includes airfare, hotels, transfers, and special events.  Almost 20 people from the Rotary club of Palo Alto have signed, up, so there is room only for another 10, or so, people.  We expect that after this announcement, we will fill these few remaining places quickly.  If you think your Rotarians could get excited about this trip, please make an announcement to your club immediately.

Please feel free to forward the attachment to your friends, family or associates who may be interested in taking a unique and memorable trip to Brazil.  They will meet people and see places that are unavailable to most, and they will have the extraordinary Rotary experience.   We need to hear from travelers quickly.  Brazil requires a visa to enter the county so quick action is required.  Please contact us right away if interested.

The trip dates are:

May 10 - 25, 2011

Sao Paulo, Pantanal, Iguacu, Rio

Only $4,049 per person, double occupancy.

Let me know if you have any questions. Otherwise, I hope that you, and members of your club, will join fellow Rotarians to provide service, fellowship and wonderful highlight to your year as club President.  We need to hear from travelers quickly.  Brazil requires a visa to enter the county so quick action is required.  Please contact us right away if interested.

Best regards,

Brad
