DISTRACTED DRIVING
Teen drivers account for 12.6% of all drivers involved in fatal crashes.  The fatal crash rate among 16-19 year olds is four times that of older drivers.  Risk is the highest at age 16, when the fatal crash rate is 40% higher than for 18 year olds and 30% higher for 19 year olds.  Cell phones, speeding, and distractions from passengers are the leading contributors to vehicle crashes among teens.  When asked about the driving habits of Mom and Dad, 48% of teens witnessed their parents talking on a handheld phone in the previous 30 days and 15% saw them texting.  Whether you are a parent, friend, or sibling, set a good example.  Young people are watching.

Should be a great program...most interesting....and applicable these days.
