The meeting was hosted by none other than HOWARD TAYLOR and brought to us by Team 4 and leader Les Melburg.  Queen Bev was anticipating absence due to jury duty. She did show up, but sat in the crowd and had our oldest living Past President preside over the meeting.

ANNOUCEMENTS:  Myron Tisdel still needs two more people to help on the boat for Ducky Derby.

October 10th at 10 a.m. is PHOTO DAY at the Kiosk at TurtleBay.  We are hoping to have the Kiosk finished and make this a "dedication" day as well.  For more details contact Milt Schultz.

MUSEUM OF HISTORICAL RUST party, October 25th.  Get your reservations in by October 1st.  You can register on-line or by calling Steve Hagenbaugh.  You don't want to miss this private home, be invitation only, event.  This is 30 years of collecting Americana at its best.  The proceeds will go to local programs that cannot be funded by Ducky Derby funds and if we make more than $1,000, to Zambia and a children project to provide dictionary to English learners.  IF IT RAINS, the event will be held the following Sunday.

Don't miss next weeks meeting where the Oakes/Harrison dinner will be auctioned off.  Proceeds to the scholarship fund.

Frank Lehmann still needs experienced duck stickers tonight at Meeks!

A word of advice from Howard Taylor to all past presidents.  If you see Bev, don't say yes!

Fill-in president, King Howard, let Myron Tisdel make a presentation to Queen Bev.  A VERY LARGE Ducky Derby shirt was awarded to Bev in an attempt to keep all her assets covered.  No more short cheerleading skirts.  The guys just can't stop talking about it.

Bev reminded everyone she chose Howard to be King today because he is the oldest (yes, she said oldest) living past president having served 30 years ago!

Dave Ercolano needs a couple more volunteers for parking duty at 8 a.m.

Les Melburg, Jeff Vieira, Keith Ritter, Doug Weigand and Dave Ercolano were recognized for something they had in common besides the fact, that as Queen Bev so aptly put it, they were all good looking!  They all have not been recognized yet this year.  So, here go the fines and confessions:

Jeff went on a vacation to the coast and paid $50.  Keith was in his two bike events this weekend riding more than 50 miles.  That cost him $54.  Les Melburg used the "Cash for Clunkers" program and got a new Aston Martin.  The sales tax was $12,000, so he paid $60 in fines.  Doug paid for work and vacations, $50.  Dave has moved his office to a new location after 30 years in the same spot.  He offered $130.47.  Note.Queen Bev would have never settled for these low and even amounts!

Bill Evanhoe has a 10th grandchild, Cameron.  He paid $10 a piece.

Allyn Clark fessed up that she is headed to Cancun next week and was on a houseboat this weekend.  Life's rough. She paid $50.

Marge Beck offered the final $25 toward her Paul Harris for her daughter's engagement.

Jim Salini was helping the crowd with answers to King Howard's questions about Rotary so he paid a total of $40.

Parish Malson won the 50/50 chance and then watched the pot grow.

VIP Terry Hanson got the chance of a lifetime and road in a Blue Angels jet yesterday.  His comment was he didn't throw up or pass out!  He used something called the "Hick Maneuver", which Frank Lehmann told him about.  Don't ask.  Something about clenching your buttocks and pretending you're giving birth.  How would Frank know?  Terry offered $100 for a fine and $100 for a Paul Harris.

Les Melburg's comment was " Didn't throw up or pass out? Sounds like a couple of my marriages."

Our speaker was Susan Whitaker, a speech and language pathologist, telling us about all the new techniques to diagnosis and help with speech and swallowing problems.

Question of the day by Howard Taylor.  How did Ducky Derby come to RER?  Jim Salini saw it in Oregon and brought the idea here.  Good job Jim!

Mary Burger was the winner of the gift.
