This week's meeting was brought to us by the best team ever (yes I have editorial license), Team 6, the Strategic Business Partners, lead by Martha McCoy Nagel!  All the normal meeting stuff went on except, the Ten Amigos did not come through on the candy throwing for guests.  I'm thinking FINE!

Birthdays and anniversaries were announced.  Birthdays this month include:  Jim Murphy, Howard Taylor, Jim Salini and Mary Burger.

Jerry Peters unveiled the plaques for the Quibell Ticket Booth.  Dedication ceremonies will take place on October 16th at half time of the Varsity Riverbowl Game.  Come early because parking will be a nightmare.

The Party Guy announced that we have 60+ members signed up for the Museum of Historical Rust event.  The event is now open to other Rotary Clubs, so get your tickets now.

Steve also gave a special thank you to his Rotary sponsor, Bill Evanhoe, and to tell us about Bill's mad man ways when it comes to counting money.  Steve presented Bill with "Count Duckula" as a token of his appreciation for all Bill does for Ducky Derby.

The Party Guy was on a roll and also announced the holiday party for December 5th at Howard Taylor's home. Thank you Howard.

Queen Bev announced the winners of the Most Ducks Sold.  Bill Evanhoe sold 153 ducks and Myron Tisdel sold 70.

Terry Hanson announced the work party for Saturday, October 10th at the Kiosk at the SundialBridge.  Ten to 12 strong people are needed at 8 a.m. to finish the project and then everyone is needed for the Rotary International photo shoot at 10 a.m.

Ken Miller reminded everyone about the Industrial Tour on October 28th at Galaxy Gymnastics.

The TEAM POINT TOTALS were revealed.  Wow, shocking to some.  Get out there and you're your points.  See the download section for the spread sheet.

RECOGNITIONS:  Mike Young was recognized for his wife's outstanding sales ability at Duck Derby.   Seems that we should be paying her, but Mike paid $37.43 for Debbie selling 50 ducks.

Frank Strazzarino was fined $24.18 for his photo being the Record Searchlight twice.  He was supposed to pay double Randall Hempling's fine, but got out of that with the "non-profit" trump card.

Mike Wells just got back from Ireland and is leaving for Australia on Saturday.  He should have paid dearly, but he sucked up to Queen Bev so well that he only had to pay $69.10.  When you give the Queen a card describing how awesome and beautiful her name is in Irish, and help her get over the fact that Beverly usually means "Beaver Meadow", you get off the hook for large fines.  Good job Mike.

The 50/50 pot was up to $410 but Jim Fieder only managed to spin a "GROW" on the wheel.

Mr. Howard Taylor was thanked for his excellence in substituting for Queen B during her jury duty - with the SPECIAL gift of a Tank Top (Reject) from Diane Guhy's Shasta Creations. Especially funny since one of the silk-screens on this "test" shirt honored the wearer (Howard) as "Hen House Security"!  Howard was a great sport about the shirt - and happy enough to have led his club's meeting to offer to complete his 9th Paul Harris award!

Today's presentation was by Kim Hawkins, RN of the Mercy Maternity Clinic.

The gift was won by Marge Remedios.
