The MAGNIFICENT Seven lead the meeting today without their fearless leader, Maggie John, and with a lot of trading of job duties.

The M&M Team did much better today.  Must have practiced.

The Community Builder for this week was Steve Westlake.  He is the co-owner of Maxim Physical Therapy and Redding Sports Medicine and offers PT and sports medicine to six high schools and helped build training rooms at Central Valley, Enterprise and Shasta.  He and his staff are available two days a week at the schools for training, are at most home games and offer free sports clinics, with a physician, on Saturdays.  He is Past President and 19 year member of Redding Rotary and a member of the Chamber of Commerce.  Steve currently teaches the Career Technical Education class in Athletic Training for the high school district, on his lunch hour. He has coached baseball, soccer, basketball and soccer and is past president of the Shasta High School Booster's Club where he still is a board member even though his own children are in college.  He was also a big part of the Grant School Cougar Club event that has raised money for the school's sports programs.  And.he served on the Sober Grad committee twice! Was President of Redding Little League and has been an announcer at the Turkey Trot.  He is holding his 13th annual Sports Medicine Golf Tournament on Halloween, which helps fund supplies for the training rooms and trainers at the games.  He can often be found on Sunday mornings in his driveway taping some weekend warrior's limbs for their race that day and is often up at 6 a.m. to go help a high school student who can't make it to the office.

Bill Evanhoe gave his Craft Talk.  Bill was born in Los Gatos and moved to Redding when he was in the 9th grade.  He is a 1960 graduate of Shasta High School and has and Accounting and Economics degree from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.  He lived in Sacramento for four years and the moved back to Redding to work for Moore/Miller Accounting, which is now Evanhoe/Kellogg and Company!  In 1981 her married Kathleen and between them they have five children and 10 grandchildren.  They love square dancing and travel to Roseville once a week to dance.

The Safe Drug Drop Boxes have been installed.  The following Rotarians accomplished this task with the leadership of Jerry Peters.  Chad Thompson, Jeff Thompson, Bill Brown, Kurt Mitchell and Frank Lehmann.

Tim Welch is leaving us and moving to Henderson, NV where he will join his three brothers and his daughter and her family.  He plans on joining Rotary and searching for a "Premier" local choral group to sing with.  He led us in singing "God Bless America".  Goodbye, good luck and you will be missed.

President Menoher gave a very insincere "GO GIANTS" for the group.

Bob Meissner is back from working out of town and had nothing fun to confess, so he paid $50.

What do Superintendents do at the big rivalry game?  According to Jim Cloney you spend most of your time on the winning side where people are happy! He paid $25 for his diplomacy.

The 50/50 chance was won by Mike Young, who didn't win!  The pots up to $473 and the chances are better.

Today's presentation was by our very own Glenn Rank about climbing Mt. Shasta.  Awesome photos and video of what looked like a trip he really enjoyed.
