ABOUT ROTARACT
Rotaract, a program of Rotary International, is comprised of a group of young professionals and students who are committed to making an impact in the community through service, non-profit collaboration and networking events.  Rotaract fosters leadership and responsibility, encourages high ethical standards and promotes diversity, international understanding and peace.

ABOUT ROTARACT ACCT
Rotaract America-Canada-Caribbean Together Multi District Information Organization (ACCT/MDIO), hereinafter referred to as "ACCT."  ACCT/MDIO provides information to Rotary/Rotaract Districts and clubs and facilitates communication for Rotaract Advisors, educating them on Rotaract and promoting the expansion of Community-Based Rotaract Clubs throughout North America and the Caribbean.


ABOUT D5150 ROTARACT COUNCIL
Purpose and Goals: Encourage Rotaract clubs in the district to collaborate on projects and exchange ideas.  Venue for Rotaract officers and members to get involved and plan district and multidistrict events.  Forum for Rotaract leaders and Rotarian advisors to exchange and provide feedback. Building a Rotaract District structure to support, strengthen and grow Rotaract in District 5150.  Strength in numbers through collaboration, understanding and friendship.

About Amanda
Amanda Nguyen currently serves as the President
of Rotaract America-Canada-Caribbean-Together (ACCT) MDIO and the
Co-District 5150 Rotaract Representative. Amanda lives and works
in San Francisco Bay Area, California.  Amanda is originally from Fair Oaks (Sacramento), California. 
She has held various Rotaract leadership positions. Amanda's professional background is Project Management with an emphasis in technology and online project implementation.

Amanda's favorite past time is hosting and entertaining friends and out of town guests. The biggest party Amanda has planned for a company is for 300 people. She loves to salsa dance, horseback riding and playing pool. For the past few years, she has worked to provide scholarships for underprivileged children, and hopes to one day own her own corporation and start a charitable foundation.

About Mike
Michael A. Cook, Co-District Rotaract Representative and the Past President of the Rotaract Club of Novato.  Mike has been President of the Rotaract Club of Novato for the 2007-2008 Rotary year, and has previously been Vice President and Local Community Service Chair.

 

During the past year, he has assisted District 5150 and 5130 with developing additional Rotaract Clubs in District 5130; he was instrumental in creating the very successful Rotaract Club of South Sonoma County. 

 

Mike is a Landscape Architect by education, went to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and has worked at two different firms in the North Bay.  He is currently developing his own Landscape Architecture business in Santa Rosa and welcomes any interest for new projects.
