This Saturday, November 19, at 7 pm, the historic Wort Hotel will be the site of an exciting Texas Hold’Em tournament, a game of chance that could provide three lucky winners with some extra cash for holiday shopping.

Texas Hold'em generates funds to help support the Jackson Hole Rotary Supper Club's charitable programs.  According to Jim Wunsch and Rich Tambor, event co-chairs, this is the third time the club is hosting the popular event.  At the first two tournaments, approximately $5500 in cash winnings was awarded to first, second and third place winners.

Registration is $100 and the buy-in is $150.  Re-buys will be allowed during the first two rounds at a cost of $150 but only up to the value of chips purchased on the initial buy-in.  Prizes will be awarded on 100 per cent of the total money collected and 80 percent of the total money collected on the re-buys as follows:  1st place 50%, 2nd place 30%, and 3rd place 20%.  Prize money does not include the $100 registration fees collected on-line or at the door.

Payment is required to confirm registration and reserve a spot in the game.  Players who pre-register online by 9 pm, November 18, will receive a bonus of the equivalent of $25 in additional chips.  Interested players can claim their spots now at jhtexasholdem.org.

The next Texas Hold’Em will take place on February 18, 2011, during WinterFest, which was created by the Rotary Supper Club in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce in February, 2010, to help stimulate winter tourism and provide additional activities for locals.
