Ross Butterworth, who is Chair of WERN, was District Governor 2013-2014.
Western Emergency Relief Network (WERN) provides emergency relief and assistance through supplying good quality second hand furniture, electronic and whitegoods, to people in need due to homelessness, mental health, family violence, refugee, fire or flood situations.
They have experienced record demands due to seasonal requirements and continued growth in partner agencies. Stock has become critical in several areas but demand for beds, mattresses and bedding has increased to extremely high levels and while this will ease slightly with warmer weather WERN is attempting to locate industry partners who can supply second hand beds and mattresses. These items and all other domestic type household goods are in high demand at WERN and any help on spreading our requests far and wide would be appreciated. For further information, see (here)
