Born and educated in Parramatta NSW. Studied law (Solicitor’s Admission Board/ Sydney University Law School). 1960 moved into Data Processing, initially with Woolworths, later with ACI Ltd.
After commencing employment with Confederation of Australian Motor Sport in Sydney in 1969, transferred to Melbourne in 1971. Has lived at Dandenong North, Olinda, Balwyn and finally to Seymour in 1998, and semi- retirement. Joined Rotary Club of Balwyn in 1995, then Seymour following move. Past President, currently serving 3rd term as Treasurer. Community involvement includes 9 years Board member of Seymour District Memorial Hospital, 3 as Chairman. Currently President of Seymour Business and Tourism (the local Chamber of Commerce), Board member Goulburn River Valley Tourism.
Awards include Australian Sport Award (2000), Medal of the Order of Australia (2014), and Paul Harris Fellow (Rotary Club of Seymour).
