Last Week, Rotary Albert Park Annual Footy Breakfast
Nearly 200 people joined us on a beautiful Spring morning for an enjoyable breakfast at The Carousel, in Albert Park.
Our guest speaker was Gavin Crosisca.  Gavin played for the Collingwood Football Club between 1987 and 2000 during which time he played 246 games, including a Premiership, scoring 64 goals and becoming just the third Queensland born footballer to play 200 games.  He played State of Origin football for three teams: Queensland, Victoria
and The Allies.  After retiring in 2000, he embarked on a career in coaching roles and seemed to have it all.

However, his life changed in May 2011 when his world collapsed and he commenced an incredible journey of recovery from his addiction to drugs, alcohol and gambling.  To this day he continues to actively assist others in their recovery.  Gavin is co-founder of Sober Living Housing Addiction Recovery program providing addicts and their families hope as they start their recovery journey.  He is now a US
Board Registered Intervention Professional.
The proceeds of the day go to the Bubup Womindjeka Family & Children's Centre, who operate the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, which provides free books for pre-school children.  Their CEO Susie Rosback thanked us for our support.
