Rotary International's president, Ian Risely, has challenged every Rotary club to help curb climate change by planting a tree for each of its members before the next Earth Day (April 22, 2018). Help our club exceed the challenge! Sign up for our "Root for Trees" planting event. The City of Edmonton will supply everything we need--shovels, seedlings, a rep to provide information and give us a planting demonstration. We will be planting trees in one of Edmonton's urban forest. We need a minimum of 12 volunteers to make this happen. We can have up to 100. Everyone is welcome (children too), so invite your family, friends, and neighbours to come and see our Rotary club in action--making a difference.
Registration required by September 21, 2017; the "Root for Trees" rep needs to order seedlings for us. Register online via the links or send an email to Cynthia Dusseault (cynthiadusseault@gmail.com) with the names of those who will be attending. If any individuals are under 18 years of age, please indicate their ages. |
