Please join us as we commend John Nicoll for his incredible year as President of the Rotary Club of Edmonton Northeast, and wish John Younie a year to remember! Please bring your own beer/wine/spirits (pop and water will be provided). Incoming President-Elect Sean, to no one's surprise, will be putting a technological spin on the BBQ and will prepare the steaks using the sous-vide technique (complete with iPhone app!). |

The walking tour will be led by Bill Pick, a member of the Highlands Historical Society. The cost of the tour is $5 per person, please pay in cash with correct change to help me out, as I will be giving Bill a cheque. We will target one and a half hours for walking. Everyone needs to be dressed for the weather of the day, and 'able'. (It's no problem if someone "abandon's ship" part way through, but Bill can't stop the tour to help you back to some place warm. However, you won't ever be far from the golf course or "Downtown Highlands" where you can get warm for the price of a little candy, a bagel, or a coffee.
More folks can join us (at 3:30~ish) at the wrap-up in the Highlands Golf Club bar area will be an opportunity for fellowship as well as helping to "End Polio Now". October is Polio Awareness month and we will do our best to support this important goal. Let's fill up the bar!! The cost of this event is $15 person. If you are taking the Historical tour you may pay for both of them together.
Please encourage friends and family to join you at Highlands for some libation, great conversations and delicious food by Executive Chef Vikram Redgaonkar.
A big thank you to Samantha Castor, Food and Beverage Manager at Highlands Golf Club for supporting our event by donating10% of all liquor and food sales ordered by our group. So lets take advantage of this easy opportunity to raise funds and end this devastating disease!
If you are unable to join us for these events but want to be included in our fundraiser, you can send me a cheque or e-transfer funds to bmtyson@telus.net. I will include these in the donations for this event.
The Rotary Clubs of Spruce Grove/Stony Plain had their event and collected $3000. Let's see if we can top that!!!
