The Cause
For nineteen years the Rotary Club of Edmonton Mayfield and Edmonton Mayfield Rotary Charitable Society have teamed up to present the “FORK IT OVER" fundraiser.
Proceeds from this event are used to fund such programs as providing nutritious meals to over 200 students at Brightview Elementary School (West Edmonton) as part of the school’s “Food for Thought” program (a meal which may be the only one some of the students receive that day); supporting U School (a one week life-changing University experience for grade 4 to 9 students from high needs schools), Boyle Street Christmas, aiding progress for an orphanage in Mexico, as well as medical missions to developing countries in Africa, Central and South America.
What to Expect on the night?
The Theme this year is The 70s!
Although it is not mandatory to dress in 70s apparel, it is encouraged, as you can see from last years photos, there was a lot of fun to be had with costumes!
This will be a fun filled evening with Gery Schubert (geryschubert.com). Gery is extremely entertaining and interactive with the crowd. Be warned, you might be his disco dance partner as we turn back the clock!
When you arrive you will be welcomed with a complimentary cocktail while you mingle and meet old friends and make new ones.
Each table will have 2 bottles of complimentary wine to enjoy with your delicious 3 course meal prepared with the 70s in mind (don’t worry it won’t be served on a TV tray!). Complimentary coffee or tea will be served with desert.
Silent Auction and Prizes
We have an array of items to choose from for our Silent and Live Auction Items. There will be something there for everyone and for everyone’s budget.
Some of the Silent Auction items are - Edmonton Eskimo Tickets, Amazon Echo, Michael Kors Scarf, Golf Packages, Oilers tickets, just to name a few.
