Just a reminder THERE IS NO MEETING ON FEBRUARY 8.  Instead many of us will be enjoying Fork it Over on Friday, February 10th!

The February 15th meeting will be a special discussion and I strongly encourage your attendance.  Jim Galpin described the meeting:

Hello Fellow Mayfield Rotarians,

Our regular weekly meeting on February 15th will not feature a guest speaker. Instead, I will be chairing an open discussion about the current state of our Club's membership, the importance of increasing our Club's membership, and ideas on how we get there. The format will invite input from our current members. I do not intend to make any speeches about membership and what we need to do to increase it. I do have some ideas, and I will share them. However, this is your/our Club and we all need to come together and commit to solutions that will strengthen our Club going forward.

As you know, I am a Charter Member of our Club and a Past President. I have seen the highs and lows of our Club over the past 40 years. I can tell you, the situation with our Club at this time is quite dire. We need to take some constructive action real soon, if our Club is to have a future. I firmly believe we have a very strong "core" of members, and there is a strength to it that can multiply our numbers.

I am  sending this email to you today, to request that you make a very special effort to attend this meeting on the 15th. I cannot emphasize enough how important your input will be to this discussion. We need "all hands on deck" (so to speak).

Yours In Rotary,

Jim Galpin
