Meeting with District Governor Frank Reitz

On September 20, six members met with District Governor Frank Reitz and two members of his team.  Here’s what he told us.

Under the rules there are some things clubs have to do.  The more clubs that live up to these responsibilities the stronger we are.

There are three major points of focus this year:

Membership

Humanitarian Service

Community Image.

All three tie in together.

There is also a reporting process so RI can have an idea of how successful the clubs are. (Rotary Club Central) and clubs are urged to work with the planning document.

Two items are required:

1. Pay Club invoices on time. (Done)

2. Report Volunteer Hours and club service to the Rotary Club Central  by the end of the year.  Our volunteer service is as valuable as the money we raise and one day will be assigned a monetary value as a metric to show our contribution to the world.  We will come up with a process for capturing this possibly including a simple sheet where members can report volunteer hours at each meeting.
