Terry and his wife Nona were high school sweethearts and will celebrate 40 years of marriage in October 2008.
They raised 3 sons in Leduc - Jason, Aaron, and Steven. Nona returned to school after the children were well into their school lives and became a registered nurse.

Terry's has been very involved in the Leduc community with a variety of involvement including sports coaching. . His pursuit of volunteering and local and service enabled Terry take the next step to serve on Leduc City Council, and then later to leave his Air Traffic Control career to serve as the MLA for the Leduc Constituency in 1993.
Life after politics took Terry into the business world and he is one of the owners of 2 family businesses known as Alberta Container Services Inc. and K-5 Management Ltd.
Terry has the pleasure of working daily with his middle son Aaron and his oldest son Jason contributes to the weekend demands. The youngest son Steven is presently involved in a coring career in the oil industry and is destined to join the daily operations in the near future. Nona practices her nursing responsibilities 1 or 2 days a week and has taken a new vocation as the bookkeeper and CFO.
Alberta Container Services is engaged in the buying and selling of marine cargo containers. These containers have application after their shipping life as storage vehicle and modification to a accommodate a innovative number of applications.
K-5 Management Ltd. is the family real estate arm of the company and holds the property on which Alberta Containers operates. Expanding these holding is the present challenge for this company as business has doubled in the last 3 years more space is required.
