SEVEN WOMEN SCREENING EVENT:
A GREAT SUNDAY!

Congratulations to Heidi and the organizing team for a great Sunday afternoon screening event of "Bringing the Light: The Story of Seven Women".  An inspiring day! While the numbers are preliminary, it is estimated that $1,000 was raised today in support of both Seven Women and our Rotary Club's international projects. Thank you to all who attended and supported this event today.

We also want to give a shout out to the Metro Cinema/Garneau Theatre team for their support from beginning to end. As well, we want to thank the fine folks at Bloom Cookie Co. and Remedy Cafe for the coffee and fantastic snacks post-screening!
Stephanie Woollard began Seven Women at age 22 after meeting seven disabled women working in a tin shed in Kathmandu. These seven women were struggling to make a living in the face of harsh discrimination. With her last $200, Steph paid for trainers to teach the women how to produce products for sale locally and abroad – and Seven Women was born.

The one hour documentary follows the story of Nepalese communities as they work with the team of Seven Women local organizers in the mission to educate and empower women. The twists and turns in the story never seem to make the dedication of the local teams, and the women themselves, waiver.

An inspiring story that will lift your soul!
