Covid virtual meeting Sep 16 2020
We held a virtual meeting in lieu of our pre-covid Wednesday breakfast meeting again this week. I counted 12 Rotarians on my lap top
Brian shared his “Rotary Moment” with the group. I talked about meeting a youg girl while volunteering at Dreams Take Flight. She did not know anything about Rotary but she recognized the Rotary Wheel on my shirt. From her playground in Red Deer.
The Club Runner website has been updated. Please visit the site and ensure that your information is up to date.
Our meeting with the District Governor is scheduled for December 22.
We have ordered masks with our Club logo. Please email Cindy if you have not received yours.
Our Club also purchased and donated masks for the U of A Rotaract Club;
We talked about some of the back to school challenges. Pat’s daughter, Sarah, has been assigned as an online teacher.
Elizabeth gave us a report on the successes and some of the challenges that were experienced with the District conference.
Our own Tony Thibaudeau participated in a fundraiser for the Mustard Seed. He camped out in his backyard to raise funds for the Mustard Seed. Several of us dropped in at the campsite to keep him company. It was a great, impromptu, event. Tony raised over $1,000 with his camp out. Well done Tony.!
