Instead of a morning meeting we had a Virtual Christmas party on December 16, 2020. I counted 15 celebrants. It was great to see Agnes Fisher at the party. Judy, Cindy and Agnes attended the party together. They are all single ladies and they are a cohort so that passes Deena Henshaw’s rules. We collected $30/partier for the party and those funds were donated to the Mustard seed. The club topped up those funds to make the donation $1,000.00 Most of the party goers showed up in Christmas garb. The party started with some really bad Christmas jokes. The only one I remember “Who would have thought 3 years ago that if people were smoking weed at a family gathering in 2020 it would be the family gathering that was illegal?” We then had a trivia competition. The competition was created and hosted by Judy’s neice, Amanda Wilson. Amanda did a great job and everyone had a good time although some of us, including yours truly, came away feeling pretty ignorant. The final activity was the Christmas garb contest. Brian Hamilton won first prize as the most festively dressed |
