We held a great turnout at Historical McKay Avenue School for ur second inn person meeting since the Covid outbreak. Unfortunately only one person (Dave Dorcus) ttend via Zoom. There was no signing, we all had masks and we signed in using a online scan app provided by EPSB. It was a bring your own beverage and skip breakfast kind of breakfast meeting and we did not sign the anthem. Never the less, it was a good and productive meeting and a great opportunity to catch up. Lionel Usunier shared a Rotary memory. His memory was from hosting Cross Canada tour keds back in the day. He recalled taking two young ladies out to spend a day at the lake at the Douglas mansion in Seba Beach. We had feed back from members who attended the Pub night last week. They reported that they had a great time, David’s team was very hospitable and the “shut the place down”. Following the formal part of our meeting we formed an assembly line to prepare emergency school lunches for kids at Gary Smith’s school. Gary reported that the school lunch program that we previously provided through the E4C charity has been discontinued this year and his kids are often in desperate need of something to eat. With the help of some money form a donation Cindy received from her cousin Gary and Elizabeth stepped in tp help. Gary took a food safety training and they purchased foods and bags. We packaged the food into individual lunch bags for them. - Upcoming meetings: - Zoom Meeting – 9:00 am October 14, 2020
