We will be joining with Houston Alumni of Pepperdine University to kickoff SFD 2018! We will provide overview of our past decade of SFD projects, discuss this year's recipient (Mitchell Elementary School), and explain the projects. Rotary Skyline is also inducting multiple new members!!! This is also a great opportunity for potential members to learn more about Rotary and how to get involved in a global organization that believes in "Service Above Self"? At Tap into Rotary, you'll meet like-minded professionals from across Houston and discuss topics and notable causes occurring in our city. Plus, the greatest takeaway of all is experiencing the benefits of Rotary and making lasting friendships.

ABOUT CHILDREN AT RICK
About Dr. Bob Sanborn Dr. Sanborn is a noted leader, advocate, and activist for education and children and the President and CEO of CHILDREN AT RISK. He earned his undergraduate degree at Florida State University and his doctorate at Columbia University in New York City. Before entering the non-profit sector, he had a distinguished career in higher education at institutions such as Rice University and Hampshire College. Under his leadership, CHILDREN AT RISK has expanded its influence considerably. Notable achievements include opening up centers in Dallas and Fort Worth; launching the Public Policy & Law Center, the CHILDREN AT RISK Institute, the Center for Parenting and Family Well-Being and the Center to End Trafficking and Exploitation of Children. Sanborn is the Executive Editor of two peer reviewed, open-access academic journals, the Journal of Applied Research on Children and the Journal of Family Strengths. He is also the host of the popular radio program and podcast Growing Up in America on the Pacifica Radio Network. |

First Tee of Greater Houston is the biggest chapter in the world and serve over 350,000 youth in greater Houston. Its program costs less than $5 per kid each year because of its amazing volunteer coaches and mentors. The First Tee dramatically expands access to the sport of golf for youth.
