"Nature's Infrastructure" in the Age of the Anthropocene

BIO: 

Nancy Lee Wood, Ph.D. is Professor of Sociology at BRISTOL Community College and Director of BRISTOL’S Institute for Sustainability and Post-carbon Education as well as Co-ordinator of the college’s new Sustainability Studies Program.  She lectures widely, most recently in Florence, Italy and Washington, D.C., about the need for humankind to "reenter the space of nature” in order to address the numerous challenges faced by climate change and its impacts. Her most recent publication, Preparing Vocational Training for the Eco-Technical Transition, appears in EarthEd: Rethinking Education on a Changing Planetpublished by WORLDWATCH INSTITUTE.
