Congratulations to Zelma Braga who has been named a Distinguished Alumni by the BMC Durfee Alumni Association and will be honored at the Friday, May 26th Annual Meeting. Reverend Lawrence gave us a sneak peak at the this year's Chamber of Commerce John Brayton Award winners, and they include our own Connie and Rick Vaillancourt! Joan Medeiros submitted the nomination based on their work with the Happy Feet program and volunteering at the Southcoast Centers for Cancer Care. They will be honored at White's on Thursday evening, June 22nd. More details to come.
Additionally, the club as a whole has been recognized by the District with a Public Image Award for the use of both traditional and social media; the Vibrant Club Award for significant achievement in all five avenues of services and our support of the Morelea Hospital, Mexico; and District Governor's Presidential Award of Excellence for meeting more than two-thirds of the DG goals for the year. Congratulations to all for the hard work that goes into achieving these awards!
