Connecting – Harnessing the Power of People

Phil Martin has spent 30 years as a college professor, most recently in the Department of Theatre Arts at Edgewood College in Madison, WI.  He is a member of the Theatre Guild of America and ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers). He has been honored for his excellence in teaching and leadership with the NISOD Award and earned Recognition of the Year from Western Nebraska Community College. He is a published playwright and song writer and an award-winning television writer for the Nashville Now show on TNN.  He has been commissioned to write musicals to celebrate the orphan train riders (Songs of the Orphan Train Riders) and by the state of Wisconsin as part of their sesquicentennial celebration (The Wisconsin Story).  Most recently, he coauthored a musical about being a father titled Fatherhood.  He has presented at conventions and symposiums across the country and has had great success performing his one person show – Gateway.  He lives in Cross Plains, Wisconsin.
