Clay Farris Naff is the retired executive director of Lincoln Literacy. His science writing career began at the University of Pennsylvania News Bureau in 1984. He has been a Tokyo correspondent for United Press International, an editor for Bloomberg News, and a freelance reporter for National Public Radio. A member of the National Association of Science Writers, he served as the science correspondent for The Humanist Magazine and is the author or editor of numerous science anthologies.
Lincoln East Rotary welcomed Timothy Gay as he talked about “News from Space.” Tim said we usually look at the Universe with our eyes (visual eyes), but there are other ways to look at the Universe.
Tim touched on the following: Ground based telescopes, Hubble, Chanhra, Webb, and Parker telescopes and the Mars Rover.
With Ground based telescopes have manned and unmanned space exploration. 96% of the Universe you don’t see. 80% is dark energy and only 4% is regular energy.
