President's Message

Lincoln East Rotary Club

Margo Carlson arranged for Alynn Sampson, the Community Impact Director for the Food Bank of Lincoln to speak to our Lincoln East Club on 1/20/21.  Alynn provides oversight for all feeding programs for the Food Bank of Lincoln.  She is a certified trainer for Bridges Out of Poverty and trains businesses, organizations, civic groups, and other nonprofit agencies on how to bring economic stability to the community and create a common language around poverty.

Members were not familiar with this program and Alynn clearly has the knowledge, experience, and passion for this work.  Her presentation was interesting, enlightening, and thought-provoking.  Several members asked her to stay after the “official” meeting for more questions.
