Bryan Cancer Center - Bob Ravenscroft

Bob Ravenscroft told us WHY Bryan wanted to build a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center in Lincoln.

Cancer – It’s one word no one wants to hear, but most of us will in our lifetimes – for ourselves or for someone we care about.  In Lancaster County and three others close to it, nearly 9,000 people receive cancer treatment each year.  Of that number, almost half will seek treatment outside of Lincoln, often for the very same level of care available here.  Countless hours of commuting and logistics only adds to the physical and emotional stress for patients and family alike.  The question is WHY?

Lincoln East Rotary Club

WASH

Chuck and his Rotary Foundation Grant Group are supporting one of Rotary's area of focus - water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).  The January issue of Rotary featured an article on pages 52 and 53 about WASH and the Rotary E-Club of WASH.  It describes the formation and work of the E-Club and the work of Rotary with USAID on water, sanitation, and hygiene projects in developing countries.  Way to go Chuck and your team.
