Police Officer of the Year 2022
Andrew Barksdale was selected as the Lincoln Police Officer of the Year for 2022.  In his position as a narcotics  investigator, he made at least 167 felony arrests during the year, and in the last three years he has made 560 felony arrests.  In a recent case his work resulted in the seizure of 800 grams of meth, 1700 grams of marijuana, $70,000 cash, a .45 caliber handgun, an AR style rifle with bump stock and high capacity magazines, which led to 15 felony arrests. Investigator Barksdale has an incredible work ethic and carries a positive attitude, which is critical to the unit's overall efficiency.
