I don’t know about you folks but staying home and not socializing during the pandemic has really gotten me down. Of course, the pulmonary blood clots and the young lady running into my car in July and August respectively didn’t help. However, now I feel well and most importantly I have hope. The shortest day of the year is only 3 days away and then there will gradually be more day time. The corona virus vaccine has arrived and health care workers and nursing home residents are starting to be inoculated. A second vaccine has been approved and is slated to start being delivered next week. This will mean fewer hospitalizations and fewer deaths. Lancaster County is lifting some of the pandemic restrictions on bars and restaurants today so hopefully our small businesses will be able to start making money again soon and employees will have work. And, spring is coming.
A letter sent to District Governors was sent out by Rotary International and it's Foundation about how Rotary is helping with the COVID-19 vaccinations. Please read the "MORE" to find what they are planning to do.

We should continue to keep all of our teachers, school officials, and students, EMT's and first responders, hospital doctors and nurses, supermarket clerks, restaurant workers laid off or furloughed and waiting for unemployment, all those who are currently unemployed, human service organizations who still are open to serve those poor/homeless/hungry, funeral home workers, churches, airline employees, hotel employees, gas station and convenience store workers.
