Abby Cawley is a 2026 Rotary Peace Fellow, going to the Peace Center at Uppsala University in Sweden. She is a Lincoln native and received her undergraduate degree in political science from Nebraska Wesleyan University. During her time there, she presented at the 2022 US Strategic Command's International Deterrence Symposium on US-China relations and has since published two co-authored papers in the journal Dynamics of Asymmetric Conflict. Receiving this Fellowship means she will leave her position at Lincoln Literacy, where she has loved serving our community through working with immigrants and refugees, but is excited to pursue post-conflict peace building internationally.

Lincoln East Rotary has helped raise and lower the United States flags for Memorial Day at The Veterans Memorial Garden at Antelope Park for many years. It's an honor to help prepare for this special holiday. Lincoln East Rotary has also been a contributor to the restoration of the Veterans Memorial Garden.
