Nancy L. Schoen, Music Educator

November 6, 2024

Nancy L. Schoen, Music Educator

Nancy L. Schoen is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she received her Bachelor of Music in Education with a piano major and voice minor.

Nancy has maintained a private music studio since 1986 and currently teaches nearly 30 students in her home studio. The youngest student she ever taught was age four. The oldest one had grandchildren.

She is a member of Music Teachers National Association, Nebraska Music Teachers Association, and Lincoln Music Teachers Association (LMTA). LMTA has a program called Music Outreach which makes it possible for students to take private lessons who would otherwise be unable to afford to do so.

Nancy has also worked as a church musician and collaborative pianist for 44 years.

She will share information about the LMTA Music Outreach Program and also tell some of the best (or worst!) things her students have said, which she is compiling into a future book.

Salute to Business 2024

Salute to Business 2024 -- Hudl

The four Rotary Clubs in Lincoln, NE saluted Hudl on Tuesday, October 29th at the Cornhusker Mariott.  Hudl was founded 2006 by David Graff, Brian Kaiser, and John Wirtz when they were students the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management.  Today, the same three continue to lead the company alongside a diverse and ambitious leadership team that's still growing.  As a company, Hudl prides itself on trust and transparency at every level, with this team providing a clear vision for the future.

Hudl is based in the historic Haymarket District in Lincoln, NE.  Originally they sourced their talent from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, including the Jeffrey S. Raikes School, but today the company has employees across a number of states in America and internationally, with office locations in London and Sydney.  Hudl is a product and service of Agile Sports Technologies, Inc. who provides tools for coaches and athletes to review game footage and improve team play.  Its initial product line served college and professional American football teams; today the company provides video services to youth, amateur, and professional teams in American football, as well as, other sports which includes soccer, basketball, volleyball and lacrosse.
