June 30 - Installation of Officers and Dinner

The Installation of Officers and dinner will be held at Bethany Christian Church, 1645 N. Cotner Blvd.  Parking is on the west side of the church and you can enter into the Fellowship Hall from that side.  Hope to see you there.
Don Wilhite - Climate Science

A changing climate impacts all living things

Hope is important but action leads to hope.  This week the rotary club hosted Prof Wilhite, former director of National Drought Mitigation Center (NDMC). Born in St. Louis and raised in Missouri, Prof. Wilhite transferred to Nebraska in 1970 after his graduate degree from the university of Arizona where he embarked on the climate resilient journey in empowering societal response to climate events. He founded the NDMC in 1995 that was geared towards improving drought response in the US through giving early warning information on the status of drought in the US. He has also worked with 47 states in the USA, UN organizations and oversees countries to help them develop a national drought response plan.

Sum Fun Picnic - July 21, 2023

Sum Fun Picnic - July 21, 2023

We will be helping with the Sum Fun Picnic on July 21st.  We will need volunteers to help cook the hot dogs, cook the beans, set-up, serve the food, and clean-up afterwards.  This picnic is held at Antelope Park's Auld Pavilion.  A sign-up sheet will be forthcoming to sign up in the other areas.  Thank you for doing what Rotarians do -- "SERVE ABOVE SELF."
