John Wyvill is Executive Director of the Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (NCDHH). John, is also hard of hearing and wears hearing aids, but also can read lips. The mission of the Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is to promote and advocate for Nebraskans who are Deaf, Deaf-Blind or Hard of Hearing; to achieve equality and opportunity in social, educational, vocational, and legal aspects impacting their daily lives; and to enhance and monitor access to effective communication and telecommunication technology. All funding to the NCDHH comes through the Nebraska legislature.
NCDHH stays connected to private businesses, hospitals, service providers and many leading educators.

In our contentious society, I see friends who are members of Rotary use The Four-Way Test to support opposing political and social arguments and to criticize the thoughts, statements, and actions of others. I see members with completely opposing viewpoints use the same Four-Way Test to both support their argument and demean others. Rotarians and others are using all forms of social media to share their opinions about perceived violations of The Four-Way Test, causing others to pile on additional comments and insults, all with little thought to how this affects our public image.
Thank you to everyone who contributions in support of eradicating polio around the world. Our goal for 2019-2020 is $1800.00. To date we have collected $1,548.00 We collected $42.00 for our Happy Dollars on March 4, 2020.
The Annual Salute to Business is an event sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Lincoln to honor a business for providing employment and community support. This year's honoree is TMCO. The cost for the Salute to Business will be $35.00 per person. We will start to collect for this event in two weeks and checks should be made out to Rotary Club 14. This event will be held on April 28, 2020 at the Cornhusker Marriott Hotel, doors will open at 11:30 am and the program will start at 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM.
