Lincoln East Rotary Club held a Club Assembly to discuss several topics.  One was about having controversial topics for our programs.  We decided that if we do this we need to have both sides, such as the pros and cons, come and speak.  If a club member was not excited about a controversial topic they could very easy not attend.  We discussed ways we might try to attract new members and how many of us become members -- persistence eventually pays off.  Discussion about holding hybrid zoom meetings -- at this time we will continue to meet in person, but we can discuss further about holding zoom meetings if the virus continues to get worse.  We are planning to apply for a District Grant working with the YMCA.  Two of our members are working on collecting information and costs so that we can submit this on the application for the grant.

Keep all our Rotarians in your prayers and thoughts as we continue fight with variants from the COVID-19.

 

Even with the vaccine, we continue to keep all of our teachers, school officials, and students, EMT's and first responders, hospital doctors and nurses, supermarket clerks, restaurant workers laid off or furloughed and waiting for unemployment, all those who are currently unemployed, human service organizations who still are open to serve those poor/homeless/hungry, funeral home workers, churches, airline employees, hotel employees, gas station and convenience store workers.
