Imagine Rotary Tour
Dear Rotarians:

We are excited to share the details of the Imagine Rotary Tour in District 5630 and 5650 this fall. We invite you to come on along!

We wish there was time to tour all 68 of the clubs in the two districts. We deeply appreciate the nine clubs that responded and applied to be a Rotary “Hub”

Review the exciting events being hosted by the Hubs (attached). This is a great way to enjoy community tours, service projects and social activities. Select one day or join in for all of the tour.

Come one. Come all. Invite your friends and neighbors. Let’s elevate Rotary and grow the membership. We’ll have some fun and do some good.

We’ll see you on the tour!
District Governors:
Deb McCaslin, 5630
Barbara Bartle, 5650

2022 CROP Hunger Walk

CROP Walk 2022

Lincoln East Rotary Club is one of several sponsors for the 2022 CROP Walk.  You can make a difference in eliminating hunger locally and globally.  That difference is taking a “step at a time” walking to feed someone who is hungry.  Twenty-five percent of the donations made in the Lincoln/Lancaster CROP Hunger Walk comes back to the community’s food pantry.  Some of these pantries are located in local churches.

The CROP Hunger Walk is October 9, 2022 at Bethany Christian Church, 1645 North Cotner Blvd. (use west entrance).  Registration is at 1:00 pm, and the Walk starts at 1:30 pm. There is a 1.5 mile walk and a 3-mile walk.  You can choose which one you care to walk.  Donations can be made at that time or you can go online at crophungerwalk.org/lincolnne.  Anyone making a $100 donation will receive a T-shirt.  We will welcome a Church World Service (CWS) representative to the Walk.  Hope to see some Rotarians at the CROP Hunger Walk.

Rotary Reflections
Service originates in the mind.  As Rotarians we talk ourselves into seeing the positive in a negative world.  That begins the mindset of a service focused approach to life. Rotarians see whatever happens in the present from a service perspective.

Paul Harris Challenge
Paul Harris Challenge

Read the information below about the District Governor's Paul Harris Challenge.

Dear Jerry,
I so enjoyed being with you and your club this week.  I forgot one very important item…my Paul Harris Challenge.  If anyone in your club makes a donation of $100 or more to the Rotary Foundation or Polio Plus in the next couple of weeks, their name will go in a drawing.  In preparation for my DG year, I saved my Paul Harris points.  At the end of the year, I will draw 4 names to receive a Paul Harris award.

I would appreciate it if you would announce this next week and maybe add to your newsletter.  Please just have them let you know if they make a donation in the next couple of weeks.  We use the Four Way Test:). It is a good time since World Polio Day is October 24 so some may want to give to polio.

Thank you, Jerry, for doing this for me.  I am so sorry I did not make this challenge when I was there.

With appreciation,
Barbara
