President Message

When I was young I used to spend some time each summer with my grandparent’s on their farm at Elm Creek, Nebraska.  It was quite a change from my life in southern California.  One of the things I could do on the farm that I should not do at home was make sling shots.  All you needed was an old inner-tube, of which there were plenty around the farm, a piece of leather, some string, maybe some wire, but string would work, and a good crotch from a tree.  Even today when I spot a branch that has a perfect Y in it, I kinda go back to being a boy.

Quote of the Week

“For me, becoming isn’t about arriving somewhere or achieving a certain aim. I see it instead as forward motion, a means of evolving, a way to reach continuously toward a better self. The journey doesn’t end.” — Michelle Obama
