Shauna Davidson gave an exciting update on Deki, the 2 elementary schools in Uganda that we have been supporting.
Lyle Schoen, Lincoln East Rotary Foundation Treasurer, presented Shauna Davidson with a check for $7,000.00 to continue our support for the children and their education. Congratulations to Shauna and the students and teachers at Deki Schools!
What You Helped Make Possible in 2025, from Shauna Davidson
We provided free, quality education for over 700 students in rural Northern Uganda.
This year, 55P7 students sat for their graduating exams, putting them one step closer to a milestone that was once out of reach: entering strong secondary schools in the city. Their determination, combined with your support, is helping rewrite what's possible for this community!
We provided daily meals.
Even when food was scarce in the community, we continued to provide consistent daily school meals to keep children healthy and fed.
As the 2025 school year comes to an end in Uganda, our students at Hayden and Nahla Schools brought the whole community to celebrate the graduation!
“Every contribution you make towards educating these students not only brings smiles to their faces, but makes it possible for them to build successful, enriched lives full of opportunity.”
