Randy Moody is a retired attorney and lobbyist living in Lincoln and near Tucson, Arizona. He was born in West Point, Nebraska, raised in Sioux County, graduated high school in Fremont, and received his BA at Creighton. He graduated law school with honors at UN-L and attended graduate school in journalism at the University of Minnesota. He spent nearly four years as an Army officer, including a year in South Vietnam. For 15 years he lobbied at the Nebraska Legislature for various interests, including the state teacher's union. He lived in the Washington, DC area for almost 20 years working as a newspaper reporter, Congressional aide and lobbyist. He retired in 2010 as chief federal lobbyist for the National Education Association, the nation's largest teachers' union.
