Amir Waly, originally from Iraq Kurdistan, was our guest speaker for July 16. Amir is a dedicated member of the Lincoln Literacy team in Nebraska.
Drawing on his personal journey as an immigrant, Amir plays a vital role in supporting refugees and newcomers as they adjust to new life in the United States. At Lincoln Literacy, he helps empower individuals through language education, workforce preparation and community engagement. His background and deep cultural understanding make him a compassionate advocate for those navigating the challenges of resettlement. Amir's work reflects a strong commitment to inclusion, opportunity and building a brighter future for all.
