ALLO Ethical Engagement

Dave met Brad Moline, President of ALLO, when he was playing music in The B Street Band (classic rock cover band).  His other musical group is the Shucks Brothers (bluegrass trio).  His wife Tammy is a singer in the B Street Band.  It seems they needed a substitute drummer and Brad was that substitute.  ALLO was started in 2003, so it has been around for a while.

 

You might ask yourself what does a Pastor do at ALLO?  Dave has been with ALLO for three years and his job is to make sure that the employees, customers, anyone that ALLO comes in contact with lives up to their four Core Values.  Dave said that Pastor’s are always trying to make people live up to certain standards, and after 11 years in the ministry, he felt the Lord was sending him to do something different.  He still is a Pastor of sort’s; he tries to encourage the employees to live out the following four Core Values that ALLO has set for them.

Those four Core Values are:

ALLO has 500 employees, so you can see they have to apply all these values in their relationships among themselves, as well as, their customers.  Using these values changes the culture not only at the work place, but the culture around those they come in contact with when putting in the fiber optic lines into a customer’s home.

 

Brad Moline, who serves as ALLO’s president, held several senior positions with organizations across the U.S. before returning home to Nebraska with his wife to raise their family. Among those positions, Moline was the senior vice president of finance, chief financial officer and a driving force behind the exponential growth of Birch Telecom, Inc. in Kansas City. Moline also took a large national transportation company public and was retained as a valued member of their board. He holds a degree in business administration, with distinction, from the University of Nebraska.  ALLO’s headquarters is located in Imperial, NE when Brad lives.

ALLO has fiber optic technology located in ten Nebraska locations and two in Colorado.  They are: Ashland Lakes, Alliance, Bridgeport, Gering, Hastings, Imperial (Home office), Lincoln, Norfolk, North Platte, Ogallala and Scottsbluff.  The two in Colorado are Breckenridge and Fort Morgan.

 

Since January 2020 ALLO has been helping non-profits to be able to have free internet.  They had 99 applications and they wanted to help at least 75 non-profits that qualified.  It turned out that 77 of those qualified, so they decided to give these 77 non-profits free internet service free for 10 years.

 

ALLO understands the importance of a reliable connection, especially for students and their families. It's our goal to ensure broadband access is affordable and accessible to all as we work to close the digital divide.

ALLO is now offering $10/month 50 Mbps service to households who have students attending Lincoln Public Schools, and who participate in the Lifeline Program.  This program is important because many students are currently learning remotely because of the COVID-19.
