Foothill High School and Pleasanton North Rotary have again collaborated to determine the students of the month for April and May 2015.

Student one is Justin Silliman, who is recognized for his service to the community through the founding in funding of the backyard harvest organization which has donated hundreds and even thousands of food each year since its founding in 2013. Food has been donated to open-heart kitchen the Pleasanton and Livermore as well as the Tri-Valley food pantry. School faculty as well as PPIE Foundation commend Silliman for his community service activities, innovation and leadership by example.

Student two is Evan He, well known at Foothill for his skills as the consummate Linguist. In addition to his two years of Spanish studies, where teachers note his passion and aptitude for foreign language is phenomenal and unique, he has also taken it upon himself to begin studying the French and German languages. Beyond the classroom, Evan took his passion for Spanish outside the classroom and has participated as an exchange student over the past two summers, as well as sharing his passion languages with schoolmates. Foothill’s World Language Team teachers proudly call Evan a “quintessential representative” of the school’s foreign language department.

Congratulations Justin and Evan for being selected Students of the Month!

Continue to follow your passion!
