This week we have a very fun program. Dr. Joel Parrot is coming from the Oakland Zoo. The Oakland Zoo is a non-profit organization, managed by the East Bay Zoological Society. Founded in 1922 by Henry Snow, the zoo has been located in its current Knowland Park location since 1936. If you haven’t been to this wonderful zoo and want to know what’s going on, come Friday to see. There might even be animals guests if the Hilton approves!

Again, don’t forget the District Conference is fast approaching. The dates are June 1-3. This is a wonderful time to share Rotary with the entire family. A short trip to Squaw Creek in Lake Tahoe holds a weekend of fun—tennis, golf and biking. Plus you will hear great inspirational speakers; Daniel Bursch Astronaut, Jonny Moseley Gold Medal Olympic winner, Carrie Davis passionate sportswoman overcoming obstacles, and entertainment by Lacy J. Dalton. It is not too late to register. All the details are covered in the current District 5170 Clubrunner. You can also contact me.

Remember the debt we owe our veterans and active members of the Armed Forces on this Memorial Day weekend. Ronda (aka Jane Doe).
