Rotary on the Road: Hillcrest Transitional Housing Rotary on the Road! For the 1st Wednesday of the month, October 6th, we're back on the road. This time, we'll be hosted by Hillcrest Transitional Housing. They presented a program to our club several years ago. They are a leader in the region working to end homelessness with a self-sufficiency model that provides wrap-around services for a 90-day period for adults and families. They have housing in Overland Park and Kansas City, Kansas. We'll meet at their youth building Wednesday, October 6 at noon. They will share about their services and also a couple of ways our club could get involved if we'd like to. 3101 Minnesota Ave. Kansas City, KS 66102 The main door faces the corner of Minnesota and 31st Street. There is parking behind the building. Pints for Polio: Mission Summer Picnic We're getting ready to bring the party again - this time at the Mission Family Picnic. This is the event rescheduled from July. We'll be hosting the beer garden, raising money for Pints for Polio. Mission Family Picnic Broadmoor Park - 5701 Broadmoor St. Saturday, October 9, 5-8 p.m., with some set-up and tear-down time as well. You don't have to stay for the whole time by any means. It's really a fun event. There will be live music, and kids activities, and if the wind cooperates, fireworks. Thanks so much!
